Tournaments – What to Expect

Try your hand at a tournament! We are hosting 3 tourneys on Saturday, and be sure to sign up to reserve your spot. Signup sheets will be available at PPG CON.

Crokinole with Jose

Saturday, 10a – 12p

Love dexterity games – or “Dex” games as board gamers call it? Try your flicking prowess and enter our Crokinole tournament. No experience necessary, and a good time is assured! You may sign-up with a partner, of come solo and we will pair you up to take on another team of two. Crokinole is a cross between shuffleboard, horseshoes and curling. Each round takes about 15 minutes as you vie to be the first team to score 100 points! See you there!

Tichu with Smiley

Saturday, 1p – 4p

Come play Tichu, a climbing partnership card game. As your gaming sommelier, I can tell you that Tichu has elements from lots of card games, but in a very unique package, which makes it my favorite! Like other card games, you can make bids, you pass cards before playing and you group the cards in various combinations. It also has a couple of special cards, you don’t have to always play, and sometimes you can even play out of turn. If you’re new to the game, allow me to teach you Tichu, and be invited to play a couple of games, where the winning team will ultimately win a prize!

Texas Hold ’em with Eric

Saturday, 8p – 12a

Doyle Brunson, Daniel Negreanu, Johnny Chan, and Phil Ivey are just a handful of the incredible poker legends that won’t be joining us for the 2nd annual PPG Con Texas Hold ‘em tournament. This is your chance to add your name to the list of poker greats. Only one other person in the history of the world has ever won the PPG Con tournament…could you be next? This is a completely free tournament with some great prizes going to the top finishers. Players of all levels are welcome, even if you have never played a hand in your life. Join us Saturday night at 8:00pm and make sure you sign up early as space is limited and we expected to fill up fast. We look forward to seeing you across the felt.
