Attendee-Driven Events

Wanna join an extended gaming campaign this CON? Below are details of attendee-organized events happening this year.
If you want to organize an event, let us know!

Scythe: Rise of Fenris Marathon - Organizer: Eric

Attention Fans of Scythe!! For Pike’s Peak Gamers’ annual meet up, I am proposing to run a Scythe: Rise of Fenris Marathon for myself and up to 4 other players. For those unfamiliar please see the below overview which can be found on BGG: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/242277/scythe-rise-fenris

Empires have risen and fallen in the aftermath of the Great War, and Europa stands on the precipice of a new era. The economy is robust, morale is high, and defenses are strong. There are reports from the countryside of strange soldiers with glowing eyes, but they seem distant and harmless.

  • Campaign (8 games): The story of Scythecontinues and concludes with an eight-episode campaign. While the campaign includes surprises, unlocks, and persistent elements, it is fully resettable and replayable.

I am looking for players who can commit to the 8 games. Because this will take some time to complete, the games will need to be spread over Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday. Times will be determined after I have received enough interest and can discuss what would work best with the group.

I figure we will play 2 games Friday, and 3 on both Saturday and Sunday to complete, taking breaks as needed to enjoy all the convention and Manitou Springs has to offer.

Please reach out to Eric at vdub.1962@gmail.com with any questions and to sign up. After receiving sign ups, I will discuss further details with the group to determine the official schedule and what to expect.

Civilization - Organizer: Richard

Hello, ladies and gentlemen.

I plan to run a game of Civilization (2002, Glen Drover). As you may know, a single game could run through the whole con.  For those who don’t wish to commit so much time to the game, we can let people drop out, and let others drop in to replace them.

I imagine starting Friday evening, leaving the game set up overnight, and resuming Saturday morning. With luck, we’ll finish by the end of the Saturday session of the con.

Maximum is 6 players (or teams).

To sign-up please email Richard – RWare@alum.mit.edu.

Twilight Imperium 4th ed. - Organizer: Bruce

I have Twilight Imperium 4th edition and I’d like to get a big game going on Friday and Saturday morning.  Also, if there is another person with TI we could get a 12 player game– yes— 12 players— where wormholes go from one board to the other.

To sign-up please email Bruce – mckenzie.b.e@gmail.com.
